    Join us for our Quarterly Greater Rome SHRM Meeting on January 14, 2025! We will have networking and registration starting at 8am and a presentation by Your Safe from 8:30 am-10 am.

    The Janaury Meeting Topic is the Information Security: What Business Executives and Professionals Need to Know presented by Jay Harmon of BorderHawk, LLC.

    This session introduces cybersecurity for the business executive and professionals who manage data for an organization and individuals as a function of their job responsibilities. We will discuss how security works (protect/detect/respond) and what you need to know to safeguard data. A focus on the layers of security that includes compliance and audit readiness will be outlined as component of business strategy and not just as an IT function.

    Jay Harmon is the CEO and Managing Director of BorderHawk,LLC, a leading nationwide Cybersecurity and Information Risk Management Consulting firm based in Cartersville, GA. 

    Jay has over 35 years of experience developing strategic business and technology solutions across a variety of fields. He is currently focused on the development of Information Risk Management & Cyber Security programs for critical infrastructure, including Telecommunications (NIST CSF / SCRM), Department of Denfense vendors (CMMC), Healthcare (HIPAA), State and Local governments (ISO27001/NIST). 

    Jay serves on numerous advisory boards for state and national organizations that focus on Information Security and Information Risk Management. He is a certified facilitator for the Georgia CyberSafety Initiative (GaCSI) providing presentations and covering current social media/internet related bullying and policies that reflect cyber safter information as required by teh Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA), the Georgia Bullying Lawthe Georgia Bullying Law (O.C.G.A.
    20-2-751.4) and the Broadband Data Improvement Act (S. 1492).

    In addition, Jay is a prominent speaker in the telecommunications industry regarding regulatory compliance for cybersecurity and supply chain risk managment related to federal grants programs. 

    Jay and his team travel around the country providing Information Security, Privacy, and Management Consultation related to Cybersecurity, Information Security and Governance, and Regulatory Compliance.
