A3 is an improvement process that applies to lean thinking. It is a structured problem solving and continuous improvement approach. Simply put it is a way to present a report in a structured way that will help the user encourage lean thinking.
Presenters: Shira Stein and Leanne Hufford
Shira Stein is a Senior Planning Analyst in the Planning Department at Floyd Medical Center in Rome, Georgia. She helps with strategic planning, data analysis and assembles Certificate of Need (CONs) and other state data requests. She obtained her Greent Belt in Lean Six Sigman in 2012. Shira graduated with her Bachelor in Business Administration from Georgia State University in 2008 and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Shira lives in the Armuchee area with her husband and daughter.
LeeAnne Hufford is currently a Process Improvement Leader for the Lean Six Sigma department at Floyd Medical Center in Rome, Georgia. In her role LeeAnn works to implement quality, process and performance improvements throughout the hospital. LeeAnn was previously the Clinical Manager of Medical Pulmonary and Palatine Suites. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY. She is a member of the Georiga Organization of Nursing Leadersin and The Georgia Hospital Association. LeeAnn lives in Rome with her husband and their four children.
